Hey, everyone! We hope you are having a fabulous day! We just have a few quick announcements.
First, we will be closed on Monday, May 25th in observance of Memorial Day. We will also be closed on Saturday, July 4th for Independence Day.
If you have an emergency while we are closed, please call 731-587-3817. Please note: there is an emergency fee if your pet needs to come in after hours. Please also note: the ones carrying the emergency phone do not have access to our schedule or price list, nor can they give advice.
April is nearly over and May is just around the corner. We know this month has been rough for everyone. We would like to thank everyone for their understanding through all our recent policy changes, especially as we transitioned to curbside only for the time being.
As we go into May, we will be doing routine appointments again provided the stay at home order stays lifted. At present, it lifts on April 30th. We ask that everyone who needs to come in call for appointments. As of May 1st, we will stop doing curbside service (again, this is dependent on guidelines from the CDC and AVMA which may change).
Because of policy changes during the stay at home order, we will be doing $10.00 nail trims through the month of May.
We know many people have asked about rabies clinic week. The dates for that week are chosen by the health department. As soon as we know, we will make sure the information is posted both on here and on our Facebook page.
Good morning everyone! We hope you are all enjoying the warmer weather. We have a few updates and policy changes for you:
As we know more, we will post updates.
Hooks Pet Clinic Staff
March is almost here! This March is also cat spay month! For March only, we can spay your female cat for $90.00!
We do have a few requirements:
Remember, this price includes the following and only the following: the surgery itself, anesthesia, monitoring, and pain medication. It does NOT include bloodwork, vaccines, or any other extras you may be asked about. If your female cat is pregnant, there WILL be an extra charge. We do surgeries on any weekday except Wednesday.
February is Dental Month! Does your dog or cat need his or her teeth cleaned? Can they knock you over with their breath? For this month only, we can clean and polish their teeth for $100.00! Also, all dental products (excluding OraVet products) are 10% off!
Remember, we do REQUIRE all pets be current on their rabies vaccination. We also REQUIRE appointments for dental cleanings. This special covers only the following: scaling, polishing, fluoride, and anesthesia. If you would like your pet to have dental x-rays, vaccines, or blood work, or if they require extractions*, there will be an extra charge. We do dental cleanings on any weekday except Wednesday.
If you have any questions or would like to make an appointment, give us a call!
*Extractions are at the doctor's discretion.
Happy New Year! We hope everyone has been having (and will have) a great year! We just have a few announcements.
First, we would like to thank everyone who came out earlier this month to the Martin Christmas Parade! It was wonderful to see everyone there to support all the floats! We are proud to say that our float won 1st place in the commercial division!
Next, we have new holiday hours this year.
We will be closed on both Tuesday and Wednesday for Christmas. We had previously thought that we might be open until noon on Christmas Eve, but we decided to be closed for the entire day so our wonderful employees could spend a little more time with their families. We will be open our normal hours on Thursday, December 26th.
As for New Year's, we will be open until 12:00 PM (Noon) on December 31st (New Year's Eve), closed all day on January 1st (New Year's Day), and open normal hours on January 2nd.
If you have an emergency, please refer to our earlier post for instructions.
We hope everyone has a Merry Christmas, Happy New Year, and Happy Holidays!
First, we would like to thank everyone who came out for our Halloween Costume Contest! We always love seeing how creative people are, and we are blown away by how cute our patients are in costume.
Second, November is Feline Neuter Month! For this November only, neuters on cats will be $50.00! We do have a few conditions though:
Third, we will be closed Thursday, November 28th for Thanksgiving. If you would like to board your dogs or cats over the holiday (or over Christmas or New Year's), please call ahead. Space is limited. If you have any questions about vaccine requirements or pricing, call us and we will be happy to go over everything. Also remember, we do not have any pick-up or drop-off times outside of our normal business hours. We will not have pick-up or drop-off times on Thanksgiving. We also have a special meal for Thanksgiving ($4.00 for cats and $6.00 for dogs) for anyone who wants their dog or cat to have a few extra goodies while they are boarding over the holidays.
Finally, for the 15th year in a row, local businesses are getting together for a coat and toy drive led by Cash Express and local charities! They are accepting new and gently used coats, shoes, toys, and clothing at various locations throughout the area. If you wish to donate, a donation box has been placed in our lobby. The drive will end on December 4th. We also have flyers in our lobby if you wish for more information.
First, we would like to thank everyone who came out for Dental Month! Our numbers go up every year we have it, and we are incredibly thankful.
Second, at the end of this month, we will not have a Pet of the Month. Instead, we will be hosting our 4th Annual Halloween Pet Costume Contest! To enter, you must have your pet in costume in the lobby of the clinic on Halloween (a Thursday this year) between 8:00 AM-4:30 PM. The pictures will be posted on our Facebook page once that time has passed. We will announce the winner the afternoon of November 1st based on the number of reactions on the pictures.
The winner will receive a basket of goodies and their picture will become our profile picture on Facebook until the next Pet of the Month is announced!
Finally, we know the holidays are fast approaching. Thanksgiving is next month with Christmas and New Year's following close behind. If you are planning to go out of town and board your dogs and/or cats for the holidays, please call ahead to schedule their spots in our kennels. We know some things can be left to the last minute when you're traveling, please don't let your pets' boarding be one of them.
We will post the days we are going to be closed once the time gets closer. We hope everyone has a great October, a great holiday season, and a great day in general!
We always get asked, "What do I do in case my dog or cat has an emergency while you are closed?" The answer is simple. Dr. Brown is on call and has the emergency phone with her. The number will be listed below. There are a couple of things to note, however.
If it is not an emergency, please leave a message or call back during our normal business hours.
